Jon and Carrie Micro Wedding at Brooklyn Winery in Williamsburg NY
BROOKLYN WINERY • 2020
Jon and Carrie’s Brooklyn Winery micro wedding was a heartfelt celebration that came together in just three weeks after COVID changed their original plans. With travel restrictions preventing many guests from attending, including Jonathan’s family in Canada, they chose to focus on what mattered most. An intimate, meaningful ceremony surrounded by warmth, intention, and love.
An Intimate Brooklyn Winery Micro Wedding
When their original wedding plans were disrupted, Jon and Carrie embraced a new vision for their day. They chose Brooklyn Winery in Williamsburg as the setting for their micro wedding, a space known for its character, warmth, and understated elegance.
The venue provided the perfect backdrop for an intimate celebration. Candlelight filled the space, creating a cozy and romantic atmosphere that immediately set the tone. A simple chiffon draped chuppah framed the ceremony, while lush floral details by Stems Brooklyn added softness and texture throughout the room. Every element felt intentional and personal, proving that a smaller guest count does not mean sacrificing meaning or beauty.
As a wedding planner, my role is to help couples navigate change with clarity and calm, ensuring their celebration still feels thoughtful and complete, even when plans shift unexpectedly.
A Ceremony Centered on Love and Family
One of the most meaningful moments of the day was the ceremony itself. Jon and Carrie exchanged vows officiated by Jonathan’s brother, who joined via Zoom from Canada. Despite the physical distance, the moment felt deeply personal and emotional, reminding everyone present that love and connection extend far beyond location.
A live violinist played their favorite songs, filling the space with warmth and emotion. Custom calligraphy and carefully chosen details reflected Jon and Carrie’s personalities, making the day feel uniquely theirs. From the ceremony to the quiet celebrations that followed, every moment was infused with intention and care.
Planning a Micro Wedding With Confidence
Jon and Carrie’s wedding is a beautiful example of how thoughtful planning can create calm during uncertain times. With planning and coordination handled by Margo Events, formerly Oh So Beautiful Events, the day unfolded seamlessly despite the shortened timeline.
Carrie summed up the experience perfectly when she shared, “All I had to do was show up with my dress.” Having professional support allowed them to stay present and focused on what mattered most, even while navigating last minute changes and evolving circumstances.
Many couples planning intimate celebrations choose month of coordination to bring structure, organization, and peace of mind to the final weeks of planning.
Micro weddings often require just as much care and attention as larger celebrations. With the right guidance, couples can enjoy a stress free experience and a day that feels intentional, personal, and joyful.
Jon and Carrie’s Brooklyn Winery micro wedding was intimate, emotional, and filled with meaning. It was a reminder that flexibility, love, and thoughtful planning can create something truly special, no matter the size of the celebration.
